Class 1 experienced virtual reality in Science this week. Children wore ‘virtual t-shirts’ to explore their insides! The children were fascinated looking for their gallbladder and pancreas hidden underneath their liver and stomach. They were also able to look inside their small intestine and see the journey that our food travels.
Year 3,4,5 and 6 pupils were lucky enough to experience a virtual reality workshop last week. The workshop included Class 1 visiting mountains and volcanoes around the world and Class 2 children exploring a range of famous landmarks in London and across the UK. Powderham House (yellow) have won the overall trophy for most house points over the year. Our Year 6 children received the trophy on behalf of their house team.
Year 6 delighted staff, pupils and parents with their very special version of ‘Carpool Karaoke’. They had some special guests in attendance including members of the Royal family and the Prime Minister!
Pupils and Staff performed the musical Beauty and the Beast at the Langstone Cliff Hotel this week. It was a brilliant show, with Year 6 students taking the lead. Well done to all who supported this event and for making the evening so amazing!

On Friday, children in Class 1 were able to go to Powderham Castle to watch a special performance by the Meridies Piano Trio. We were invited to the prestigious James Wyatt music room to listen to an hour long performance covering pieces by Debussy and Haydn, and even a world exclusive composition!

We enjoyed World Book Day at Cockwood, with the children and staff dressing up as their favourite character and taking part in some lovely reading based activities. Well done to everyone who made such an effort with costumes.
