Race for Life Challenge

Cockwood’s Got Talent 2016!

We held our annual Talent Show and as usual the standard was high! The judges finally decided on 3 runners up and an ultimate winner. A lovely duet of Your song sang by two Year 5 girls. A good afternoon enjoyed by the whole school!

Fairtrade Lunchbox Competition

The Fairtrade committee recently ran a very successful competition around Fairtrade Lunchboxes. Children were encouraged to bring in as many Fairtrade items in their lunchboxes as possible. This proved to be a huge success and children brought in all sorts of fairtrade items from bananas to chocolate bars, homemade smoothies and cakes.

Members of Cofton in Bloom came into school and presented the children with a shield and certificate for winning first prize in the schools’ summer gardening competition. Head Boy and Head Girl lead School Council

We start a new academic year with a super team of children to support us. The Head Boy and Head Girl will lead the School Council and help to make important decisions about the school. Their first task is to buy some playground equipment for break and lunchtimes, which they are looking forward to doing.
