Class 2 Night-time Bat Walk

  The children had a brilliant time playing in Mrs Taylor’s garden. They enjoyed a super supper of hot dogs, strawberries and ice-cream and crisps. The children watched the sun go down over the estuary before walking up to the woods to look for bats.

  Class 2 enjoyed their day walking around the grounds of Exeter University in the pouring rain! They also saw another art form…the wonderful painted ceiling in The Old Chapel. A Royal Cream Tea!

  At Cockwood Primary, year 6’s have now been learning to cook scones and make the perfect cream tea in a bid to WOW judges in the competition to ‘cook for the Queen’.

Chartwell Assembly

   The children enjoyed an assembly taken by Chartwell Dutiro this week. He came to visit us and tell us about his forthcoming trip to our partner school in Zimbabwae. Chartwell collected items we had prepared ready for him to share with the children of Chireseri School.

World Book Day

   The children and adults had a wonderful day dressed as our favourite book characters. We shared stories, designed book covers and enjoyed a number of activites all linked to reading.

Anti-bullying week

   During Anti Bullying week Class 1 were fortunate to have two drama teachers from Dawlish Community College come into school and work on making ourselves ‘bullyproof’.  

Russia

   We had a taste of Russia in assembly this week with a visit from Ms. Elana Cooper.

Visitor from Zambia

  We were very lucky to meet Andres who was visiting from Zambia in Africa.  He is a musician and works in a theatre company called ‘No matter what’.
