TV Cameras come to Cockwood

   Everyone at Cockwood Primary was VERY excited to have two film crews in school last week to help us celebrate our achieving ARTSMARK GOLD AWARD. The crews were from Westcountry and Watershed PR. They spent the whole afternoon filming art around the school and interviewing staff and children.

SCULPTURE WALK @ EXETER UNIVERSITY

   Class 2 and class 3 spent a ‘wet” day following the Sculpture Trail around the grounds of the Streatham Campus of Exeter University. The rain didnt dampen our spirits and all the children enjoyed sketching and photogrpahing some of the fantastic sculptures on show.

   Things are changing on the class 2 mezzanine…staff and parent volunteers have been working hard to create our new library. Over the next few weeks the library is being catalogued and made more ‘user-friendly’.

  Class 2 and 3 are looking at ‘Sculpture’ in Art this term. Class 3 have been finding out about ‘What is a sculpture?’ and experimenting making sculptures with play dough, plasticine and junk modelling.
