Class 2 have been learning about ‘Magnetism’ this half term. Last week they were tasked to make a game using Lego with a key element that moved using magnets. The children were really imaginative and really enjoyed this practical hands-on session.
A group of year 5 scientists had an amazing time at Trinity School’s Science Impact day. They took part in some super investigations including making rockets, sampling scientific smoothies, making scribble bots and taking part in a science scavenger hunt.
Year 4 and 5 have enjoyed visits to Methley Meadow over the last few weeks. They learnt how to safely light fires and in small groups had to keep them going for 3 minutes, they also made bird feeders.
Class 3 had a fun-filled afternoon last week exploring printmaking. The children created their own printing blocks and loved using a roller to distribute the paint, the results were incredible.
Our Year 1’s had a great afternoon last week at the KS1 Aesthetics Festival. They took part in a range of activities lead by Dawlish School students, these included yoga, balance, forward rolls and simple dance sequences. Their behaviour was impeccable and they all had a great afternoon.
