Cockwood children have taken part in an area Athletics event run by the Dawlish Learning Partnership. Schools from across the community competed against each other in a bid to win a medal.
The children and adults had a wonderful day dressed as our favourite book characters. We shared stories, designed book covers and enjoyed a number of activites all linked to reading.
During Anti Bullying week Class 1 were fortunate to have two drama teachers from Dawlish Community College come into school and work on making ourselves ‘bullyproof’.

We were very lucky to meet Andres who was visiting from Zambia in Africa. He is a musician and works in a theatre company called ‘No matter what’.
This term Classes 1 and 2 are having lessons in how to play brass instruments. This is part of the Government funding for Wider Opportunities for music provision in schools.
