Trip to Wimbledon

Paralympian Dan James visits Cockwood

Great Britain’s Paralympic goalkeeper Dan James visited Cockwood School last week and led the children through a circuit of exercise, teaching them the importance of fitness and persevering to achieve goals. A great afternoon and a fantastic way to exercise! It was amazing to learn about Dan’s achievements at the Paralympics – a real inspiration.

Sports Day

DLP KS2 Athletics Tournament 2017

On Monday 26th June teams from across the Dawlish Learning Partnership arrived at Teignmouth Community School to participate in the KS2 Athletics tournament, organised by the Dartmoor School Sport Partnership.  The competition consisted of 8 different events, which pupils participated in on a carousel, and then a competitive relay to finish.

Last night, children from across the Dawlish Learning Partnership took part in the annual DLP Football Tournament. Teams of children from Starcross, Kenn, Kenton, Cockwood and Westcliff Primary Schools took part in a pool of matches with Westcliff claiming the most wins.
