Always Club
The first children selected to be in the Always Club enjoyed their special reward this week. If children are always working hard, polite, kind and try their best then they are selected to become part of the Always Club.

This year at Cockwood School we have decided to recognise and reward the children who ALWAYS do their best, who are ALWAYS polite, who ALWAYS smile, who ALWAYS do the right thing and make the right choices.

Awards were given at the end of the Autumn term to the child in each class who has read the most amount of words. It was very close between a number of children but we had three clear winners.
Autumn Effort Awards
Staff and pupils were delighted to share a special assembly at the end of Autumn term to award those children who have put in exceptional effort. The awards were for either Reading, Writing or Maths and three children were chosen from each class.
Lights Camel Action!
Christmas Performance 2018 – Lights Camel Action! The entire school performed an amazing show at the Langstone Cliff Hotel this week to hundreds of parents and friends.
Community Celebration Event 2018
Pupils and staff organised a fantastic community event, supported by the Big Lottery Fund. Residents of the village, pupils from other local schools and members of the community visited the school and enjoyed a range of activities. Cockwood’s Got Talent 2017
We held our annual show this week. Once again the acts were varied and very entertaining, enjoyed by the judges and the audience alike! The talent was outstanding and the comments from our judges Aisha Flewin and Simon Cruel were very encouraging!

Winners of Dartmoor Christmas Tree Competition
Cockwood School received well over 1100 votes to win the Dartmoor Christmas Tree competition. As the smallest school who entered this was a brilliant achievement.
