We were delighted to welcome Leah Roelich to deliver golf workshops for pupils from Year 2- Year 6. Leah, the golf professional from Dawlish Warren Golf Club, is keen to get children interested in playing golf so has offered to come and deliver an after-school club for anyone keen to try out this sport. Groups of 15 children at a time learnt how to hold a club properly and practised putting. Everyone enjoyed the sessions and were quite surprised at how hard it was to hit the ball softly.
Golf improves hand eye coordination and is known to improve core strength. It teaches patience and resilience alongside valuable life skills such as course etiquette.
Please contact the office if you would like your child to attend the club, which will run after school on Tuesdays.
