After the storms and renovation of the railway at Dawlish, a number of businesses were kind enough to support local charities and Cockwood Primary School PFA was one such charity.
The children were lucky enough to meet some of the representatives from Bamm and Ist solutions on Friday, when they came to a special assembly and brought with them a cheque for just under £2500. Alongside this amazing contribution from 7 businesses who were involved with the railway reconstruction, 1st solutions also donated three laptops to the school and Bamm, some excellent stationary for the children.
Members of the PFA joined the assembly and then helped to provide a light refreshment for parents during the afternoon.
A huge thank you again must go to Bamm, 1st solutions and the other businesses involved, and both Simon and Charlie Lewis, our parents who were working with these companies in Dawlish. They put the school forward as a possible charity who would benefit from support.
Thank you also to Gay’s Creamery, who supplied the wonderful cakes.
All money raised will be spent on purchasing ICT equipment for the school.
