We are thrilled to share an exciting adventure our Year 6 pupils experienced this week. Thanks to a generous grant from Dawlish Town Council, they enjoyed a special pre-SATs treat – a trip to the Theatre Royal in Plymouth to watch ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’.
At Cockwood, we’re always eager to provide our pupils with enriching cultural experiences, and this professional performance was truly unmissable. The outing not only offered a welcome break from exam preparations but also served as inspiration for our Year 6’s upcoming production of the same show in July.
The cherry on top? Our pupils had the incredible opportunity to meet Ore Obuda, who plays Caractacus Potts. Ore took the time to chat with our budding actors, showing genuine interest in their own theatrical endeavours.
These moments of joy and inspiration are what make our school community so special. They remind us of the importance of nurturing creativity and providing diverse experiences for our pupils.
