The Year 6’s first week at Forest School has been an absolute joy, filled with wonderful experiences that have truly enriched their learning journey. One of the highlights was the opportunity to embrace their culinary skills in the great outdoors. Our young chefs whipped up delicious banana and chocolate cakes over an open fire – a tasty treat and a valuable lesson in outdoor cooking!
Forest School has provided a fantastic chance for our pupils to reconnect with nature, exploring the beautiful Methley Meadow site. This experience has been invaluable for their well-being, allowing them to relax, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate the stunning landscape around them.
We’re eagerly looking forward to seeing what exciting activities our Year 6 pupils will engage in over the coming weeks. To keep up with their Forest School journey, please follow us on Instagram @cockwodprimary, where we’ll be sharing weekly updates.
It’s heartwarming to see our pupils thriving in this natural environment, developing new skills, and nurturing their connection with the world around them. These experiences are precious, and we’re delighted to offer them to our Cockwood family.
