Last week, our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic time participating in the Bikeability road safety training. We were blessed with glorious weather, which added to the enjoyment of this valuable experience.
Bikeability is an essential part of our school calendar, offered annually to all our Year 5 and 6 pupils. This programme, funded by the Department for Transport, aims to boost pupils’ confidence when cycling on roads or in traffic. It’s not just about safety; it’s also about promoting healthier habits and protecting our environment by encouraging more children to consider cycling to school.
We are delighted to report that most of our participants successfully completed the Level 2 certificate.
The skills our pupils have gained through Bikeability will serve them well, both now and in the future. It’s wonderful to see our young people embracing opportunities to develop their independence and road awareness.
We’re immensely proud of our Year 6 pupils for their enthusiasm and commitment to this important training. Well done, everyone!
