What an absolutely wonderful week it has been for our Year 5 and 6 pupils! We are delighted to share the fantastic experience they had bringing their History learning to life through their visit to Hampton Court Palace.
Our pupils joined forces with Kenton Primary School for the Tudor Festival, and what a day it turned out to be! The children were completely captivated as they watched an engaging Tudor show, before diving into hands-on learning about Tudor medicines and discovering the fascinating role of a Tudor blacksmith.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the grand tour of King Henry VIII’s apartments. You should have seen their faces light up when they saw his actual crown! The visit to the royal chapel was equally magical, and the children were simply mesmerised by the grandeur of it all.
It was truly fabulous to witness our pupils’ genuine enthusiasm for this amazing historical building. They were absolutely blown away by the incredible artwork and artefacts on display throughout the Palace and grounds. Moments like these remind us why experiential learning is so powerful – seeing history come alive before their very eyes has created memories that will last a lifetime.
