Pupils thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day. Our learning was centred on the ‘pleasure of sharing a good book’. Children shared books within their classes and our oldest children also read with our very youngest pupils. The children wrote book reviews, discussed a range of different stories and even made George’s Marvellous Medicine potions during Science! It is always a very special day in the Cockwood School calendar and one that gives everyone a chance to explore and enjoy a wide range of books and genres that maybe they had not thought of trying before.
