Staff and pupils enjoyed World Book Day with a difference this year. Both children in school and working from home took part in a range of reading related activities to promote a love and enthusiasm for stories.
We took part in a ‘Toilet Roll Challenge’, to create either a character from a story or the book spine of their favourite book. The children created some wonderful materpieces and really used their imagination.
Each class shared stories and took part in some of the online workshops organised by the World Book Day website. We discussed with the children what are their books of choice at the moment and we have displayed some of the most popular titles currently on loan from our school library.
