We were delighted to receive a series of books generouly donated by Dawlish Water Rotary Club. The books are all based on the issue of climate change. They are age-appropriate and explain these key enviornemntal issues in a positive and gentle way. The books are written by a local author from Looe in Cornwall and will inspire lots of discussion and links to our curriculum.
All classes will look forward to sharing them and discussing these important issues; the books are based on true stories including: an orangutan who gets into trouble due to the problems of palm oil and deforestation in his habitat; a polar bear whpon experiences the effects of melting ice and a koala who needs rescuing from bushfires in Australia.
Thank you to the Rotary Club for this useful gift.
