‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ by Michael Morpurgo.
This is a story about a family that tours the world in a yacht because the Father has lost his job.
They sell all of their possessions and buy a beautiful boat called the Peggy Sue and they have a great time. But it doesn’t last long because after a wild storm Michael’s dog Stella Artois goes to the bow of the boat without a safety harness and falls overboard. Michael tries to save him but falls in as well. The story is about his life after he gets washed up on a mysterious island and meets Kensuke….
The book is full of adventure and emotion. I would recommend that you read this book because once you start reading it you want to read more and more because most chapters end in a cliff hanger.
I think the way Michael Morpurgo writes the book is very clever and he is one of my favourite authors.
