It was absolutely wonderful to welcome the Mayor of Dawlish, Councillor Anthony James, and Deputy Mayor, Councillor Lynda Littlewood, into our school. They joined us for a whole school assembly where our pupils had the opportunity to meet them during our Oracy session. It was particularly special to discover that the Mayor lives within our catchment area in Dawlish Warren!
The Deputy Mayoress was thoroughly delighted to meet our Year 6 pupils, who had thoughtfully written letters to the council thanking them for their generous donation towards our Theatre Royal trip to Plymouth. She had taken the time to read every single letter and provided wonderful feedback to the children. We’re excited about strengthening our connection with the mayoral team and look forward to inviting them to our upcoming summer events.
