Just before the half term break, our School Council organised a wonderful Valentine’s Cafe to raise funds for Farms for City Children, our chosen charity for this year.
The children came into a beautifully decorated classroom with their classes and had the opportunity to purchase a hot chocolate topped with mini marshmallows and a delicious Valentine’s biscuit. It was lovely to see them enjoying a proper cafe experience, sitting with their friends and chatting in a relaxed atmosphere. The whole event had such a warm, friendly feel.
We were particularly impressed by how our School Council members stepped up, waiting on the tables and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their enthusiasm and helpfulness throughout the event was wonderful to see, and they did a brilliant job clearing up afterwards too.
We are delighted to share that the event raised an impressive £76 towards funding one child to attend Nethercott House in Iddesleigh. This is a real achievement and demonstrates the generosity and community spirit of our school family.
A huge thank you must go to Mrs Ward for organising the event and creating such a special Valentine’s atmosphere in the classroom. Her efforts made the day truly memorable for our pupils.
