Class 2 pupils were amazing at the Ivy Education Trust Music Event held at Newton Abbot College last week. They performed their own composition called, ‘It’s All About the View’; based on the view from the new window in our upstairs extension. The stimulus was to connect with your locality and use it as a vehicle to inspire the children to sing about what they see every day when they are at school.
Pupils worked with Pat and Elfyn from Sonopera to create their own original tune and write the lyrics. The children took part in two shows, entertaining parents from primary and secondary schools from across the Teignbridge area. It was a wonderful opportunity for our children to sing in front of a large audience and visit a much larger secondary school within our Trust.
