Cockwood School were proud to take part in the first Music and Arts event run across the new The Ivy Education Trust at Teignmouth Communtiy School, Exeter Road. They performed alongside other schools including both primary and secondary. The theme of the event was ‘Under the Sea’ and our performance included two songs: ‘Wellerman’ and ‘How Far I go’ from Moana. Pupils also performed a dance routine, chroegraphed by our dance teacher, Miss Murray to ‘Under the Sea’ from the Little Mermaid. The finale included every child singing together, ‘A Drop in the Ocean’ led by Angie Lunn, from Kenton School. Thank you to Miss Buttree who worked really hard with Class 1 to prepare them for this event, they did a fantastic job and sang beautifully.
It was a super show and gave the children an amazing opportunity to perform to an audience over two nights.
