Last week, our pupils were treated to an extraordinary learning experience when the Space Dome visited our Village Hall. This fantastic workshop perfectly complemented Class 3’s current topic on Space, but also provided an incredible opportunity for Class 1 and 2 to explore space exploration.
The immersive, multi-sensory experience captivated our learners, offering a collaborative 360-degree journey through space. Using videos and still images, the dome transformed learning into an engaging adventure. The impact was immediate and inspiring – not only did it support our Space topic in Class 3, but it also motivated Class 2 to focus their guided reading on the International Space Station.
We are particularly proud to share that the workshop leader was incredibly impressed with our pupils. They highlighted the children’s remarkable knowledge, boundless enthusiasm, and impeccable behaviour while inside the dome. The quality of questions asked by our pupils was especially noteworthy, demonstrating their genuine curiosity and engagement with the subject.
These moments of collaborative, hands-on learning truly bring our curriculum to life and showcase the wonderful spirit of discovery within our school community.
