We were delighted to welcome John, a volunteer from the RNLI, to come and take an assembly on the important role the lifeboat plays in saving lives at sea. The children enjoyed seeing how quickly a Year 6 pupil and member of staff could change into appropriate clothing when there is an emergency and they are getting ready to launch a lifeboat. The children were really engaged and asked lots of good questions.
We are looking forward to working closely with our local lifeboat this year, as it is the chosen charity of the school council.
