Last week, our oldest pupils participated in an engaging training session focused on the importance of play and promoting positive interactions. They had the chance to explore a variety of equipment and set up games, which they then modelled and shared with our Class 3 children. This training equips our Play Leaders with valuable skills in leadership, mediation, and social interaction. It’s not just about organising games; it’s about boosting self-esteem, fostering self-confidence, and creating a sense of belonging for both the Play Leaders and the pupils they engage with.
We’re excited to see our older pupils encouraging younger ones to join in games, supporting and organising activities that extend friendships across age groups. This initiative promotes well-being throughout our school community, creating a more inclusive and enjoyable playground experience for all.
