FAMILY QUIZ NIGHT – Friday 7 February 2014
Attended by just over 120 Cockwood School Family members, grandparents and friends, 60 of whom enjoyed the tasty Chilli Pot Meal, the evening was great fun as well as a great success. We raised a smashing £252.90 and the PFA committee would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who came along and supported us in this new event!!
15 teams battled it out over 10 rounds of questions which included TV, Geography and Music along with a round specially for the younger team members.
The worthy victors were ‘The Purple Gliders’ made up of the Horn/Gillet and Wilkin families. They were awarded the Quiz Night Trophy (kindly donated by Jane Fletcher-Peters) along with a £25 cash prize.
Second place went to ‘The Winners!’, aka teachers, staff & supporters and as far as we understand their prize of a Giant Lindor Chocolate has already been consumed.
In Third place came ‘Raining Cats & Dogs’ current and potential families) who took away a box of Jelly Babies. Their team outfits would have won them a First if there had been a fancy dress competition!
Well Done to those who took part, keep your eyes and ears open for details of the next Quiz!
