The whole school has been busy this week learning about many different aspects of parliament.
Class 3 have been finding out, what is parliament? Why do we need it? Who is our current Prime Minister? They have also learnt about Guy Fawkes and his role in the Gunpowder Plot.
Class 2 explored Guy Fawkes in further detail and wrote a diary entry in role as if it was the evening of November 4th, 1605.
Our older children, Class 1, have learnt about the Suggragette movement and why equality is still important today. They have begun to explore racism and identify important black Britons who have impacted on changing attitudes and laws through history. We also watched live debates from the House of Commons and had a go at creating our own chamber, where we debated a range of contentious issues.
