The ‘Speak out. Stay safe.’ programme helps children understand:
-
- The different forms of abuse and how to recognise the signs
- That abuse is never a child’s fault and they have the right to be safe
- Where to get help and the available sources of support, including Childline
At Cockwood Primary, our vision is to create a community where every child is happy, ambitious, and able to persevere, reflect, and show respect. We believe that empowering our pupils to know their rights and feel safe is a crucial part of this vision.
Our PSHE curriculum also supports this important message, ensuring that our children have the knowledge and confidence to speak up and seek help if they ever feel unsafe.
We are proud to be a school that puts the wellbeing and safety of our pupils first. By working closely with organisations like the NSPCC, we can continue to provide our community with the resources and support they need to thrive.
