This week, we celebrated an absolutely wonderful achievement with our Millionaire Club! Four of our pupils have reached the incredible milestone of reading over 1,000,000 words this academic year – with one pupil surpassing 2 million words. It’s truly outstanding.
To mark this special occasion, Mrs Mitchell treated our reading superstars to a well-deserved celebration at Langstone Cliff Hotel. The pupils enjoyed refreshments and cake whilst sitting on the terrace, and each received a brand new book as a gift. It was lovely to see them so excited, chatting enthusiastically about the latest books they’ve been enjoying and sharing their reading journeys.
These four pupils have shown exceptional dedication to their reading throughout the year, and their commitment to developing their love of books is something we’re incredibly proud of. Reading opens so many doors for our children – building confidence, expanding imagination, and developing crucial skills that support learning across the curriculum.
A very big well done to our millionaires! We hope to see many more of you joining the Millionaire Club next year.
