We are very proud of our Class 1 pupils who attended the Let’s Dance Festival, held at South Dartmoor College in Ashburton. Under Mrs Whenman’s expert guidance, our talented young dancers drew inspiration from the Disney film ‘Inside Out’ to create a truly captivating performance piece.
The children’s dance explored the journey of Riley, a young girl learning to manage her emotions as she grows up. Through their creative pathways and motifs, our pupils beautifully represented anxiety, joy, and anger, demonstrating that experiencing a range of emotions is essential for personal growth and empathy.
Their performance was a testament to the importance of embracing all feelings, not just happiness, in order to fully appreciate life and become well-rounded individuals. The packed audience was moved by our pupils’ thought-provoking interpretation, which showcased their ability to convey complex emotional themes through dance.
Our gratitude goes to all the staff who supported this event, ensuring its success.
