Class 2 learned about the New Year celebration of the 3 Kings in France.
This takes place each year on the first Sunday after New Year.
It is called La Fête des Rois or Épiphanie.
Mrs Hawkins came and told us about how they celebrate this time in Switzerland, which is very similar to France.
This celebration centres round a king or queen chosen for the day and a cake La Galette de rois (the cake of Kings).
We tasted some French cakes and a queen was chosen from a lucky number on a plate.
We also made crowns and decorated them. The queen chose a winner. Her word was final!
