Following Cockwood School tradition our year 6 children have delighted/upset parents and staff with their final leaving assembly. The children wrote their own script based on a camping trip and toasting marshmallows around a camp fire. They all recollected special memories they have had during their time as a pupil at Cockwood School.
Many of their memories were of the residential to Wembworthy or trips and special events that have happened over the last few years. After their poignant performance Mrs Curry spoke about each child in turn and what they had brought to our school family and their aspirations for the future. The children were then presented with a dictionary from the local Rotary Club, a school pen and autograph book and a special book which was compiled containing lots of photos and interesting facts which we hope they will treasure as a reminder of their time at Cockwood.
