As part of their literacy sequence, Class 2 took part in the extremely colourful (and messy!) Holi festival. The children enjoyed a range of activities to learn about the traditionally Indian festival that is now celebrated all over the world. They learned Bollywood dancing, decorated cakes and made bracelets before taking part in a whole class paint throwing experience when they threw coloured powdered paint in the air and smeared it on each-other’s faces to celebrate friendship, fun and the colours of spring. Thank you so much for providing the spare clothes and doing the extra washing and baths! The children and teachers had a wonderful day and all the mess was well worth it.
