The children in Class 3 celebrated Halloween in style; designing pumpkins and reading the Julia Donaldson book ‘Room on the Broom’ to get in the Halloween mood!
All the children helped to hollow out the pumpkins, and see what the inside of a pumpkin looks like. Then they created their own pumpkin designs, which were put together to make the ultimate pumpkin! The adults carved the designs, and at the end of the day candles were lit inside them so we could see them lit up. The children were so proud of them they asked for them to be presented to the parents on our windowsill!
Alongside this, the children had a wonderful time making their own wands, cat and dog masks and brooms from the book ‘Room on the Broom’. The children really engaged with this book, and it is a super addition to our Julia Donaldson collection.
The children absolutely loved being able to create their own pumpkins, have a look at some of the photos of our day!
