Pupils from across the school, Year 1-6, enjoyed a morning at Dawlish Warren to enhance their geographical knowledge.
Year 1 were working on compass skills. They found north and then used the compass to find the direction of key human and physical features of Dawlish Warren from their location.
Class 2 were given two different maps of Dawlish Warren with key places marked, they had to use the map to find the answers to a range of questions.
Class 1 did a field sketch of the mouth of the River Exe, they also used compasses to locate their position.
We were very lucky with the weather and it was super to take the children out into our local area to develop their map and compass skills.
