Our Easter service at St Mary’s Church in Cofton was a heartwarming celebration of togetherness and reflection.
It was a joy to see our school family, parents, and friends gather to contemplate the meaning of Easter. Our Class 1 pupils shone brightly, presenting the Easter story through poetry with remarkable clarity and presence. Class 2 lifted our spirits with their rendition of ‘Sing Hosanna’, while Class 3 charmed us all with two delightful songs about the Easter bunny.
We were privileged to have Reverend Linda close our service with a thought-provoking sermon. Using a creative prop – a creme egg – she captivated our pupils while explaining the Easter story.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the church for their generosity in gifting each child a palm cross and an Easter egg to take home. These thoughtful gestures added an extra layer of meaning to our celebration.
This service provided a perfect opportunity to pause and reflect amidst the whirlwind of term-time activities. It truly embodied the spirit of our school community – coming together, supporting one another, and finding moments of joy and contemplation.
