On Friday 30th January children from Cockwood, Kenn, Kenton and Starcross Primary Schools, led by Mrs Lunn, teacher at Kenn and Kenton and Mr Darren Cooke, woodwind teacher, took part in a woodwind band workshop.
The children were given music to learn and practice at home before they all came together at the workshop. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all in preparation for a performance at Dawlish Community College’s 24 Hour Concert on Friday 6th February 2015. The band played two sessions entertaining an audience of family, friends, staff and governors.
The band looked very professional with new DLP Windband t-shirts, kindly sponsored by Primary Times.
