What a busy week we had last week at the Devon County Show!
On Thursday, the choir were delighted to be invited to sing on the Radio Exe stage in front of a large crowd. They sang a range of songs including: Yellow by Coldplay, Our Song by Elton John and an Abba medley. Fabulous to see children of all ages performing with such confidence, thank you Miss Buttree for taking the lead on this.
We also entered a scarecrow for the Farmwise competition. Sally Stoneman has been volunteering and coming in weekly to work with children on our entry, we entered the ‘Most Regal’ category and our entry was entitled ‘ A King in His Garden’. We were awarded two rosettes, a 2nd and 3rd place.
Finally, on Friday our Year 6’s went to the show as a post-SATs treat. They enjoyed meeting the animals, exploring all the stands and watching the events in the main arena. The school was awarded free tickets for entering our scarecrow in for judging and this was the perfect reward to recognise Year 6’s hard work and resilience in the lead up to SATS. Well done.
