We are completely absorbed in our Space topic, and today we had fun looking at, and making, our own constellations.
We had a talk about what a constellation is and learnt the names of some constellations that can be seen in the sky. We were very impressed as some children already knew the names of some, like the Big Dipper!
After finding out about constellations, we then had a go at making our own star formations using the light box. We made holes in a sheet of paper and joined them up with white chalk, then placed it on the light box so that the light would shine through. We also had fun using the ‘moon dust’ to make our own patterns.
Have a look at our photos to see our constellations and how we made them.
