On a beautiful Spring afternoon on the Cockwood Village Green, Cockwood Primary School entertained Gatehouse ACE Academy in an 8 overs per side cricket match.
Gatehouse decided to bowl first and all of the bowlers showed good accuracy and control when bowling. Cockwood scored 149 runs during their innings.
Gatehouse struggled to despatch the Cockwood bowlers to the boundary, due to their exceptional accuracy and could only score 108 during their innings and in the end Cockwood won by 41 runs.
Both teams played really well throughout and showed excellent teamwork and sportsmanship which will help them in future matches.
