Children at Cockwood Primary have been taking part in a memories project.
They devoted an entire day to making collages through the decades of school memories. The children were given a homework task of interviewing at least 3 people in their household, family or friends about their own school memories.
Teacher Mrs. Murtha said “We asked them to bring in school photos and we invited some past pupils into the school to talk to the children, spanning from the 1940s.
We also got out the school log books and punishment book and photocopied relevant sheets to add to our collage. The children were given free reign in how they displayed their material and it created a lot of discussion between the whole school community.”
Well done everyone, a fascinating glimpse into our past!
