We were delighted to welcome the Exe Estuary Management Partnership for the first in a series of three Climate Change workshops for Class 1. This programme explores how climate change is affecting the wildlife and natural habitats around the estuary, and what we can do to protect them.
🚶♀️ Workshop 1: Exploring the Estuary Without Leaving a Trace
The first session focused on how to journey around the estuary in ways that minimise harm to the environment. Pupils learned about the most environmentally friendly methods of travel and discussed how everyday actions can contribute to light and noise pollution.
They worked together to identify alternative ways of exploring the area that help protect the estuary’s delicate ecosystems and the wildlife that depends on them.
The children came away inspired, informed, and eager for the next workshop in the series.
