Our youngest pupils enjoyed a super day out at Paignton Zoo. They saw crocodiles up close, went in the meerkat tunnel, saw a sleepy tiger and lots of cheeky monkeys! They had a fascinating ‘meet and greet’ with Jo, they found out facts about the animals around the zoo and focused on which were endangered and why this might be. The children also took part in a workshop on the African safari and they learnt about different habitats. The children explored a range of different bones and matched them to the right animal. The workshop supported learning in Science and Geography on climate and habitats. A BIG thank you goes to our PFA for donating £500 towards this amazing experience- without their hep it would not have been possible.
