What a joy it was to watch Class 2 deliver such a captivating assembly to our packed Village Hall! The children transported us all to India through their wonderful performances, combining singing, drama and some super Bollywood dancing that had everyone thoroughly entertained.
The pupils demonstrated impressive learning across so many areas. They shared fascinating facts about India’s geographical features – from mighty rivers to towering mountains – and gave us a real sense of the hustle and bustle of the country’s vibrant cities through their visual representations. Their creativity shone through in the beautiful moving puppets they had crafted in Art, inspired by the incredible wildlife found across India. We were also treated to their persuasive writing, as children read aloud compelling reasons why we should all visit this remarkable country.
What struck us most was hearing the children speak with such clarity and confidence as they shared their learning with our entire school family. It was a real privilege to see pupils, teachers and parents come together to celebrate their achievements. Class 2, you should feel incredibly proud – you created a truly interesting and engaging assembly that taught us all something new.
