Class 1 visited the Exeter synagogue.
Mr. Boam kindly showed us round. We saw many important features including The Ark containing the Torah scrolls, the Ner Tamid (everlasting light) and the bimah (Platform where the scrolls are read).
We were allowed to handle some precious artefacts and had the opportunity to take part in a Jewish wedding!
We learned a great deal about the Jewish place of worship and will follow this up with some power points about the synagogue.
