Class 1 have been learning about play scripts this half term, particularly focussing on speaking and listening.
All the children had the opportunity to write a monologue from the perspective of Romeo or Juliet during the balcony scene. The children thought about how the two characters would be feeling after meeting at the ball and the type of vocabulary and language needed to express their thoughts and feelings.
Through the medium of dance, the children learnt a routine to express the high and low points of this tragic story.
