Class 1 put their Computer Science knowledge to the test in an investigation into electrical resistance this afternoon. They were trying to find out which metals were the best electrical conductors. They made a simple circuit with a bulb, then added different metal samples. They used their DataHives, kindly donated by the Royal Academy of Engineering, to measure the light intensity of their circuit. The brighter the bulb, the less resistance (and more conductivity). They really enjoyed exploring the different functions of the DataHive.
