Today the children in Class 1 explored different instruments to make their own Winter composition.
The children delved into the history of music and learnt about different musical periods and styles, including Baroque and Renaissance. This allowed for reflection and thought about the way music has changed over the years, and how history has shaped music over time.
The children then had the chance to create their own compositions, inspired by Ed Sheeran’s use of a loop pedal. This is a device used to record parts of music which are then played and recorded over again and again. This creates a layered sound full of different beats and rhythms. Some fantastic compositions were created- some with lyrics and some with great impact!
