Last week, Class 1 had a fabulous week visiting various attractions in London. On the way up we went to the Harry Potter Warner Brother Studios; the children did the back-stage tour and loved seeing the wide range sets and props from the films. The next day was fun-packed and started with a look at Buckingham Palace and a walk up The Mall, after which we had a picnic in St Jame’s Park before going to The Houses of Parlaiment to do a tour. One group were lucky enough to meet an MP and Baroness. The children sat in both houses and listened to live debates, visiting parliament is always a very special occasion and the highlight of our London trips.
We also saw 10 Downing Street and walked to see Nelson’s Column and Trafalgar Square. One evening we went to see The Lion King at The Lyceum Theatre and the other night we saw Mary Poppins.
One of our favourite activities was the morning at Kidzania, the children loved getting jobs and earning money, they tried out a range of careers from delivery drviers, to police, undercover spies, radio presenters, musciains and till operators. We also went to The Museum of London where we walked through the history of London from neolithic times to present day.
Finally, to round off our trip we spent our final day at Legoland enjoying the rides! A very busy but thoroughly rewarding experience for everyone involved.
