Class 1 were very proud to invite members of our local community to our recent Enterpise Fete, which we held at Hope Church. Over the last 5 weeks Year 4,5 and 6 have taken part in the Virgin Money Make £5 Grow project. Each child had to create a business plan and then signed a loan agreement to ‘borrow’ £5 as their start up fund. We were really impressed with quality and wide range of prodcuts that the children created.
Alongside making the products, they had to promote the event and encourage people to attend; every child took home 5 flyers which they had to distribute and Year 6 went with staff to leaflet all the local residents.
We also welcomed Rosie Dawson, the Dawlish Mayor, who attended after receiving an invitiation from Dylan, one of our Year 4 pupils.
It was a fabulous afternoon and the children raised over £700 towards their residential to London next year- AMAZING EFFORT!
